To engage the learners in a study of the Scripture text:
Distribute copies of the “Clues from Today’s Story” exercise from the activity page, which you can download here. Have learners work in pairs to complete as indicated.
Reconvene the class and ask a volunteer to read aloud Genesis 26:24-33. Ask the following questions for whole-class discussion: 1–Based on the previous activity, what is the significance of God’s statement in verse 24? 2–What is the significance of covenants/oaths in this account? 3–How did Isaac know God was with him?
