To engage the learners in a study of the Scripture text:
Have learners pair up to complete the “Setting the Scene” exercise from the activity page, which you can download here. After several minutes, bring the class back together to fill in any remaining gaps.
To encourage personal application:
Instruct the learners to complete the “A Spiritual Family Tree” exercise as directed.
Once finished with the activity, provide a few minutes for reflection before concluding with a prayer thanking God for his generations-long work bringing Jesus into the world.
