To engage the learners in a study of the Scripture text:

Distribute copies of “Word Study” from the activity page, which you can download here. Have participants work in pairs to complete as indicated. Then ask students to discuss the concluding questions with a small group.

Next, distribute copies of “Identity and Belonging” from the activity page. Give learners one minute to complete it individually. Then ask them to share their thoughts with a partner.
